Q - Can you please introduce yourself and who the team at Fanø Town Hall are?

A - We are a team of 2, Annette and Eva  who is sitting with weddings.

 

Q - Tell me a little about yourself and why you became a registrar, how you ended up becoming a registrar and how long you have been a registrar.

A - I became a registrar because I thing wedding is nice to work with. On and off I have worked with weddings in 3 years

 

Q - Do you have any wedding, ceremony or event that has been particularly memorable to you and why? 

A - I think every wedding is special

 

Q - Do you get to eat lots of wedding cake?

A - No, but a lots of good memories

 

Q - What is the busiest time of year for you? And which season do you prefer and why?

A - Summer is the busiest time for us and is also the time that I prefer because of the weather

 

Q - What is a typical wedding like in the Town Hall?

A - The couple meets the registrar and the walk together to the council chamber. The registrar tells the couple about the ceremony and what they have to do. Normally the wedding takes 20-30 minutes and when the ceremony is over, the wedding couple, the witnesses and the guest gets a drink and makes a toast for the couple. 

 

Q - What advice do you have for couples to ensure they experience a wonderful wedding ceremony?

A - In the summertime, a wedding in the Town hall garden makes a wonderful background. 

 

Q - Any special advice on dealing with wedding-day nerves?

A - Take a deep breath and remember that this is the best day of your life.

 

Q - Can you describe yourself in 3 words?

A - Smiling, helpful and seriously 

 

Q - Can you describe the ceremony in Fanø Town Hall in three words

A - Peaceful, small in the good way and harmonic 

 

Q - What sort of behind the scenes work do you do that couples might not know about?

A - All the paper work, make sure that the all things are in place for the ceremony and booking witnesses if the couple are coming alone.

 

Q - What is the favorite part of your job?

A - When I see the smile and the happiness on the faces of the couple after the ceremony

 

Q - Can you describe the Town Hall look and feeling/vibe?

A - A cozy room with enough place for the guests, candlelight and arts on the walls. You feel a peace when you enter the room

 

Q - Is there an interesting or fun fact about the town hall or area that couples may not know that we can share?

A - The Town Hall is the old School of Fanø from 1849 until 1970 

 

Q - Somewhere locally you would recommend a couple to visit whilst they are there?

A - The 2 towns Nordby and Sønderho. A walk in the small streets with the old houses, Sunset on the beach and a Seals safari when the wetter is good.

 

Q - Is it possible to have a “personalised” ceremony? 

A - If it is possible for us to fulfil the request, the couple can have a personalised ceremony

 

Q - What is the maximum amount of people you have had in the ceremony room for a wedding? 

A - 50

 

Q - What is the largest wedding you have been a registrar for?

A - 15 people

 

Q - How many weddings does your town hall perform per year? 
 

A - 400
